Jorge P. Gutierrez, Jr.

Jorge P. Gutierrez, Jr. is a native Floridian who was born and raised in West Palm Beach. He attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing. While at Florida State, Jorge was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. Jorge later attended St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida, where he received his Juris Doctorate degree in May of 1999.

Since 1999, Jorge has been litigating civil matters in state and federal courts throughout Florida in the areas of serious personal injury & wrongful death, medical malpractice, and general civil trial litigation in the commercial and health care settings. In addition, Jorge has handled arbitration disputes before the American Arbitration Association as well as the American Health Lawyers' Association. In May of 2009, Jorge joined the firm and opened the firm's new Miami office.

Jorge is a member of the Florida Bar, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida as well as the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. He is admitted to practice in all Florida State courts. He is also a member of the Dade County Bar Association and the Florida Justice Association where he currently serves on their General Tort Legislation Review Committee.

In his spare time, Jorge serves as a delegate to the Everglades Coordinating Council. He is also on the Board of Directors and serves as a Vice President of Legislative Affairs for United Waterfowlers of Florida, a non_profit organization which promotes conservation and enhancement of Florida's natural resources and also seeks to preserve waterfowling heritage for future generations of Floridians.

Jorge lives in Miami with his wife and their 2 children. Jorge is fluent in Spanish.
